The human brain and its function : consciousness

by Dr Ashraf Virmani

The question asked in this article is "How to increase our understanding and consciousness?"

Neuroscience is on the trail of how the actual physical brain structure gives rise to the psychological experience of mind. The key is believed to reside in the complex interconnections made by the billions of neurones which make the brain. The neuronal networks somehow give rise to the consciousness as well as generating coherence and meaning out our existence.

Towards this aim the following pages are dedicated towards the discussion of various ideas and fields ranging from neuroscience and psychology to issues on philosophy and spirituality, hopefully arriving to a better understanding of this phenomena.

Please feel free to send your comments and suggestions, after all it is only through communication that consciousness can be increased.

Please participate with your own ideas, knowledge and imagination.
